My name is Mike and this is my blog. I’ve been into technology as far back as I can remember, starting with my first TI computer that ran Basic on it ha! Since then I’ve been into anything to do with computers, cars, motorcycles, video, photography, firearms and more. The general trend is that I end up modding something to try and make it better. Sometimes it goes well, and sometimes it does not.
I have two degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Systems Engineering, and stayed for my Masters in Information Technology. All were from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. While I was there I was focused on learning Cisco Networking and managed to get several certifications (A+, NET+, SERVER+, CCNA/CCNP, CCDA/CCDP, CCSP, Finished written for CCIE Security).
I’m still very much into networking, but my focus has shifted to a more creative side of things and now I work in Graphic Design, Video and Photography. After working for IBM and PaeTec for a stint, I had started my own company, Technotic Media, which is a full service media company offering websites, graphic design, video and photography, along with vinyl graphics and a few other sneaky sneaky things.
